A trip to Sarigerme is especially recommended for nature lovers, as this is where the most beautiful nature reserves lie. South of Dalaman Airport, Sarigerme is nestled in a wildly romantic landscape with dreamlike bays, pine – covered hills and picturesque mountain villages.
It is one of the most beautiful in Turkey and is partly protected by an offshore island. This is a wonderful place to bathe and also to practice many water sports such as windsurfing and waterskiing. The beach runs flat in the water. The water is crystal clear and you can also stand about 100 m from the beach. The underground in the water is just as fine as on the beach.
The ruins of the ancient city of Arymaxa lie at the southern tip of the bay. Other must see places for every Sarıgerme visitor is of course the neighbouring Dalyan and the boat trips through the reed area to the Iztuzu beach, mud baths, the rock tombs and the ancient city of Kaunos.
The natural environment with orange and pomegranate plantations, cotton fields is ideal for quiet, idyllic holidays. Sarıgerme is not a place, but the name of the beach area. About 1 km is the small village of Osmaniye with shops, restaurants and bars. The nearest district town of Ortaca is about 16 km away and can easily be reached by services.
Whether you are travelling alone, with partners, friends or the whole family, you will definitely find the right place for your holiday in Sarıgerme.
