Gülhane Park Is Just A Short Walk From The Historic Centre Of Istanbul
Gülhane Park is a public park in the old town of Istanbul. From here you have a magnificent view of the Bosphorus and the Marmara Sea.
At the time of Ottoman rule, Gülhane Park was the garden of the Topkapı Palace. It is located inside the outer walls and is geologically located on the slope of Eminönü. The garden houses some of the sights, such as the historic Gothic column, which is located north of the park.
Also the Museum of History of Science and technology in Islam is located at the western edge of the park in the former stables of the Topkapı Palace.
The Museum Was Opened In May 2008 And Has Numerous Replicas Of Valuable Inventions
A part of the garden was made available to the public by 1912. Once a place for chivalrous games and archery competitions, today it is a wooded public park with attractive event and leisure offers as well as tea gardens to relax and enjoy. The Gülhane park has been rebuilt in recent years with some restoration and modernisation work. The natural landscape of the 1950s was maintained.
With its large area, flower gardens, greenhouses, terraces, cafes and fountains, the park offers its guests a quiet atmosphere in the city.
